Animal Hospital Policies in Hamden, CT

Appointment Policy

Please plan to arrive about 5-10 minutes before your pet’s scheduled appointment. We try our best to see patients at their scheduled appointment times. However, because we want to give each patient and pet parent our full attention at every visit, there may be times when visits will take longer than anticipated. These scenarios may cause a slight delay for your pet’s appointments. Emergencies may also delay your pet’s appointment time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we thank you for your cooperation.

Tardiness Policy

If you know you’ll be 10 or more minutes late for your pet’s non-emergency visit, please call us to reschedule. This will help us to remain on schedule for the rest of our appointments. It also helps ensure that when you have an appointment in the future, you won’t wait due to another pet’s late arrival. If you’re unable to reschedule, you’re more than welcome to still come in. However, if you arrive 15 or more minutes late, please understand that you’ll be expected to wait until the other scheduled appointments have been seen.

Waiting Room Policy

Pets can sometimes behave unpredictably at times, which can put themselves and others in danger. That’s why all pets are required to be on a leash or in a carrier (with all doors/zippers closed and locked) at all times when not in an exam room. This includes the moment you enter our clinic, your time in our waiting room, and upon exiting the clinic. This will help the pets in our care have a more comfortable, stress-free veterinary experience.

Exam Room Policy

Please allow us to care for your pet at all times after he enters the exam room. We always act in the best interest of you and your pet, so we ask that you follow any instructions that our veterinarian and technician give. This will ensure that any procedure goes as quickly and smoothly as possible and that your fur baby will be back in your arms sooner!

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, and CareCredit. CareCredit is a patient financing option that can be applied for right in our clinic and provides a decision right away.
