A degree from an accredited college or technical college is required, and past experience is a plus. We’re looking for someone who is able to work well independently as well as part of a team, provide excellent customer service, and perform their duties in a timely manner.

Veterinary technicians are responsible for:

  • Laboratory procedures
  • Radiology
  • Client communication
  • Medical procedures

  • Operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment
  • Inventory
  • Daily treatment of hospitalized patients
  • Rehabilitation
  • Assisting in the operating room
  • Maintenance of the OSHA and hazardous materials programs

Veterinary Assistant

If you’re looking to pursue a career in the veterinary field, then a veterinary assistant position is a great way to get started.  Veterinary assistants get to work alongside our doctors and licensed veterinary technicians with every aspect of animal care. A veterinary assistant will also work with clients and their pets, providing great customer service and education to the client. Previous experience is a plus.

Receptionist

A receptionist is the first face our clients see when they come into our practice, and the last one they see before walking out the door. Position requires great customer service skills, organizational skills, and an eye for detail. All of these qualities will allow our practice to run smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling appointments
  • Answering the telephone
  • Setting up new clients and patients
  • Preparation and maintenance of medical records
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Filling some prescriptions
  • Over-the-counter sales
  • Mailings
  • Computer operation
  • Financial transactions
  • Filing
  • Front office and reception area maintenance

Receptionists will assume the responsibility for acquiring the medical and legal information necessary for the performance of their duties.
